Hello everyone! We hope you are having a good time so far!
Most of you have known Barry and Rebecca since college. Some of you have known Barry all his life. But I think all of you likely know that Barry is TERRIFIED of clowns.
As a wee biy, Barry encountered a living statue clown in Douglas. Seeing baby Barry staring up at him as some coins were dropped in his hat, the mean and scary clown decided to scream into Barry’s face.
Given this history, Barry obviously wanted to read the book that made the idea of Killer Clowns popular. Very sensible carry on. And it was terrifying, but he loved it despite the terror (or because of it). It also feels like a very apt book to have at this time of year, with Hallowe’en only a few days away.
Rebecca has never been arsed to read IT as it is a seriously massive book and ain’t nobody got time for that! Apart from Barry, obviously.
But hopefully you guys are as far away from scared as possible today (Hallowe’en be damned), and are having a lovely time! Thank you all for being here, and for celebrating with us.
